Russian capitalism: features of economic relations in the historical context

Бесплатный доступ

Russia is a unique state in many respects in terms of socio-economic development. This applies, among other things, to the type of economic system, which has undergone significant changes throughout Russian history. It is enough to point out, for example, the fact that it was in Russia after the October Revolution of 1917 that the nationalization of economic relations took place (the socialist type of economy), and before that, and after the collapse of the Soviet state in 1991, the capitalist type of economy functioned and still functions in Russia, but this type also has many contradictions, which are emphasized in this article. It is noted, in particular, that the so-called classical capitalism in Russia has never been formed, and an explanation is given for this phenomenon. The approach is substantiated according to which the economy of modern Russia requires radical reforms, bearing in mind, among other things, the nationalization of the most important industries in the interests of the whole society, which will correspond to the peculiarities of the historical development of the Russian state.
