Growth factors of the strategic development of southern Russian regions: assessment tools

In the conditions of significant resource constraints of the majority of the subjects of the Russian Federation the competitive advantages of the economy, the possibility of its modernization and efficiency of the strategic development of areas of the country largely depend on the identification of the growth factors determining the positive social and economic dynamics in the meso level of the economy. The determination of such factors for the regions of the South of Russia in modern conditions can serve as a basis for the development of effective measures for regional strategic development in the context of achieving the target values of indicators of socio-economic development. A set of determinants including data on the level of the GRP per capita, indicators of innovation activities in the regions under consideration and characteristics of the resource subsystems of the meso level of the economy, are generated in the article.
