Based on the examples of Voskresenskaya church of Zauda (Ulan-Ude) and Uspenskaya church (Kyakhta) the article examines changes in state-church relationships in the 1940s-1980s. The article exposes the ways religious believers struggled for reopening of churches, level of church ritualism, forms of control of financial and liturgical services of Orthodox communities and so on.
