The new book by E.A.Okladnikova is devoted to the study of one of the most mysterious and intriguing archaeological finds of the 20th century in the Arctic - the sites of Russian seafarers of the 17th century in Eastern Taimyr. Despite the importance of the "Taimyr Find", questions about the route, goals of the expedition, its fate and composition remain unresolved. The book offers new data obtained from unpublished sources, namely the archaeological report of A.P.Okladnikov and documents of the Archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, analyzes the interpretations of the archaeological finds, once a single complex, divided into a number of collections in various museums of the country. The author proposes a concept that the traces on the island of Faddey Severny and in the Sims Bay may belong to two or more expeditions, which requires additional analysis and discussion. The book by E.A.Okladnikova is important for understanding the history of Russian navigation in the Arctic and stimulates further research of the "Taimyr Find".
