Russian university philosophers of the late xixth and early xxth century on time: an attempt of philosophical dialogue

The article discusses the various contexts of philosophical discussions on the phenomenon of time among Russian university philosophers of the late XIXth and early XXth century. The author outlines a range of topics, for which the analysis of this phenomenon was crucial. Among them is the elaboration of Kant’s paradigm, metaphysical search, discussion on the nature of the subject of cognition, on the super-temporal nature of personality, on the reality of the “other Self”, etc. According to the author, one of the main factors that actualized the issue of time in the philosophical reflection was the making of psychological epistemology in Russia.
