Russian heroic epic as value system (to the issue)

The article proposes an original research of values system of Russian heroic epic has been carried out. Bylinas has been shown as a succession of various events which are presented by narrators and accepted by the audience as either axiologically pro-attitudinal or con-attitudinal ones. Important elements of bylina axiology and namely inspiration for prayer and obtaining sanctity are being specified while the concept of will stands out as the ability to confront the temptation. Sharing the idea of difference between objective and subjective values, commonly accepted in modern phsychology, the author comes to the conclusion that hedonistic values contradict social norms which are acquired and conducted by Russian heroic epic as pro-attitudinal.
