Today, for mortgages and construction is not the best of time in Russia. A high refinancing rate has a significant impact on the rise in the cost of loans and a decrease in purchasing power. In this article, we will try to figure out how the mortgage lending and construction markets will exist in the new realities of Russia: we will consider government support measures and try to give forecasts for the near future. The purpose of this study is to study the impact of changes in the key interest rate on the mortgage and construction markets in Russia, as well as to study the escrow accounts initially introduced to protect shareholders in order to have a guarantee of a full refund in case of non-completion of construction on time.
