Sugar market and its import substitution in Kyrgyzstan in the EAEU conditions

The analysis of production and the state of the sugar market in the EAEU member states was carried out. Trends in the decline in sugar production and an increase in the consumption of imported sugar from third countries in Kyrgyzstan were noted. Factors of growth of import dependence in sugar consumption are revealed. A forecast of sugar self-sufficiency in Kyrgyzstan has been developed. The main directions and mechanisms for import substitution of sugar consumption in the republic within the framework of the EAEU have been developed.
