S. A. Bogomolov between formalism and intuitionism

The article analyzes the views on the problems of the mathematics philosophy of the Russian mathematician, S. A. Bogomolov, who organized the "Society of zealots of mathematics education (SZCME)" in 1924. The paper describes the events of the Leningrad ideological "dialectic" of mathematics in 1929-31-s. It also indicates the negative role of E. Kolman, who helped the authorities to eliminate disloyal professors.
