Sacral places as objects of the recreational spaces of cultural landscapes

The author considers that a lot of things in a cultural landscape have appeared as a result of specific modes of environmental management including visit of sacral places. Sacral places are analyzed from the point of view of their value in recreational space. They bear in themselves information component in the form of the myth, legends. "Mythologization" of sacral places increases their visit and experience that becomes the basis for their functioning as objects of recreational space. The subject of the myths connected with sacral places reflects toponymics of mountains, curative sources, separate components, i.e. generally natural objects. It is offered to study sacral places within a sacral and recreational landscape studies. The contribution of "hidden recreational" in expansion of recreational space is estimated and its criteria are distinguished in the article.
