Samarkand State University turns 600

Based on the study of written sources and the results of scientific research, the history of Mirzo Ulugbek Madrasah is characterized. Historical evidence is presented that reveals the features of its formation as a medieval university. It is shown that the development of the system of education and scientific research at this university represented a single permanent process, which in modern conditions is continued by the successor of Ulugbek Madrasah, Samarkand State University named after Alisher Navoi. The mission of the Samarkand state University in our days is presented.
