The sammits of Turkic states (1992-2001): the real platform for closer relations?

The article is devoted to an urgent issue of cooperation between the former soviet Turkic states and the Turkish Republic. The research pays attention to the summits of Turkic states organized during the first period of their active collaboration (1992-2001). The author analyzes mutual declarations signed at the summits by the Turkic states, describes Ankaras role in the intensification of Turkic integration and head of states meeting, and explains indifference of some Turkic states towards integration plan and summits.
