The dearest edition of the Institute of archaeology, RAS (to the 80th anniversary of KSIIMK AS USSR - KSIA RAS)

The article opens the issue of the journal «Brief Communications of the Institute of Archaeology» (KSIA), celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2019. In the paper there are published little known valuable information and memories about the journal’s history, the publishing activities of the Institute of Archaeology of RAS and those colleagues who have been closely related with the work of the journal for many years.
