Self-propelled planter for sowing plots of oil crops with small seeds

As a result of the conducted studies of the sowing devices the self-propelled planter for sowing of oil flax seeds on testing plots was developed and made in department of mechanization VNIIMK. The design of the central seed distributor (batcher) is described. Results of field laboratory researches at sowing of twenty-meter eight-row plots are presented. It is established that the planter provides uniform distribution of seeds on the sowing devices, as well as uniform distribution of seeds both on sowing depth, and on row length. The planter can be used at sowing of the other oil crops (a rapeseed, a turnip rape, mustard, etc.), too.
