The article discovers the explicit gender differences in the study of self-identification, investment strategies and attitudes of the middle class. The author reveals that men and women increasingly identify themselves as the middle-class. At the same time, women have the gap in the identification of two contradictory strata of the middle class, while for men they are equal. Investment strategies of men and women differ in their degree of activity. Men tend to more risky strategies. Attitudes of women regarding confidence in their future and the future of their children, paternalism on the part of the state and building up family relationships reflect gender differences.
