Self-esteem of a creative personality: to the formulation of the problem

The article reveals the problem of ambiguity of self-esteem of a creative personality, which requires observation and adjustment in order to avoid negative consequences. The significance of the problem lies in the fact that a creative personality receives the status of a public opinion leader, for which he or she may not be ready due to his or her psycho-emotional characteristics and ambiguous self-esteem. The article considers the types of self-esteem of a creative personality, its dynamics from underestimated to overestimated and then to an exaggerated version - «star fever». Recommendations are offered for a creative personality to level out the negative impact on him or her from people around him or her and his or her own destructive attitudes, and to prevent star fever and burnout.
