Self-regulation of functional states by the soldiers in combat

The authors analyse the influence fight has on the military serviceman psychic and behaviour. Combat stress-factors are described. Different types of stress and their symptoms are considered: constructive and destructive including traumatic. To effectively perform combat tasks a soldier must have a particular range of psycho-physiological mobilization, be in proper functional conditions, therefore, it is important for him to regulate it. The article reveals the ways of a person's influence on his functional state. Soldiers with internal and external loci of control vary in their original effectiveness of psychic self-regulation. The authors identify the requirements to the methods, psycho-techniques and means of psychological self-regulation. The paper contains specific means and techniques of psychic self-regulation which must influence regulative psycho-physiological and physiological mechanisms. The results of psychic self-regulation are peaceful state, recovery and activation. The grounds are given as to the methodical scheme of teaching militarymen means of psychic self-regulation.
