The article explores independent physical exercises as an effective means of maintaining the combat readiness of police officers outside of office hours, compensating for the limitations of organized training. An in-depth analysis of the problems is carried out: low motivation, family obligations, risk of injury, lack of knowledge and time, psychological burnout, aggravated by organizational barriers and regional factors. Regulatory legal acts and instructions on physical training are analyzed, revealing shortcomings such as the lack of recommendations for extracurricular activities, strict universal standards without differentiation by gender/age and incentives; corrections are proposed through additions to orders, digital platforms and personalization. Solutions are described: personalized programs, gamification, education, and family integration. Examples of the growth of training in territorial administrations are given. Innovations include AI analysis applications, virtual simulators, seasonal challenges, and biohacking for sustained combat readiness.
