Officer suicide in two versions by A. Shnitsler and L. Perutz

In article the author analyses the narrative techniques and the structure of the tale by A. Shnitsler “Lieutenant Gustl” and by L. Perutz “Hotel “The Buckshot”. On the example of these works included in context of Austrian literature of the 1900-1920s changes, traces the changes of the text under the influence of the changed worldview and epoch, which leads the authors from small prose genres to large forms.
