Self-protection of the actual possession in civil law of Russia

The article reviews one of the most urgent problems of modern civil law in the sphere of corporeal law, protection of possession. Special attention is given to such method of protection of possesion as self-defense. The term «self-defence» was published in the legislation recently. In the Civil code of the Russian Federation self-protection is included in the list of universal ways of protection of the civil rights. The concept «self-protection» is considered in the article as many-faceted concept. In this connection, there are many different points of view on this legal category. In order to more effective regulation of self-defense against encroachment and delimitation from the concept of self-defence against arbitrariness, concretisation of the article 14 of the Civil code of the Russian Federation, including a number of conditions under which self-defense is legitimate is necessary
