Sanctions and trading limitations as major challenges industrial policy

The problem of the impact of sanctions and trade restrictions on the Russian economy is a relevant subject for discussions among domestic economists. Repeated extension and introduction of new restrictions from Western countries has become a significant challenge to the Russian economy, and the current economic situation creates unfavorable conditions for the functioning of industrial enterprises, which in turn requires the government to take response measures and conduct industrial policies aimed at protecting the interests of industrial entities. The article deals with the problem of import dependence of Russian industry, as well as the shortcomings of the industrial policy pursued.
