"Gathering point" in V. Sckvarkin 's comedies

The author of the article examines the artistic features of the image of the “gathering point” in Vasily Shkvarkin’s comedies “Schuler” (Sharper) and “Simple Girl”. The “gathering point” model, which N. Gogol had previously addressed to in the play “Inspector General,” allowed V. Shkvarkin to identify and ridicule the shortcomings of the Soviet society of the 1920s and 1930s.
