A stage name as a reflection of modern trends in anthroponymy

The article analyzes stage names in horizontal and vertical dimensions in terms of a trendy object and its characteristics. The analysis is based on the theoretical model of trend of the sociologist A.B. Gofman. The article reveals the models of creation of stage names and highlights the modern trends of their creation, namely using hypocoristic forms of names, rare names, transonymization of precedent names, onymization of common nouns and so on. It also brings to light the models of stage-naming, which are not typical of traditional anthroponyms.
