Restraining factors in the development of entrepreneurial projects in Russia's renewable energy sector

The article considers the key issues impeding the efficient functioning of enterprises in the renewable energy industry. The relevance of the research is due to the active formation of the alternative energy market in Russia and a change in the institutional environment of the industry. Despite the desire to create favorable conditions for the development of industry enterprises at the federal and regional levels, there are still systemic and non-systemic problems, which hinder the effective functioning of existing organizations and an increase in the number of new entrepreneurial projects' launches. The work methodology is based on statistical, historical, analytical, and comparative research methods. The author proposes a classification of barriers that form a certain disposition in the renewable energy sector. These include political, technical, regulatory, entrepreneurial, psychological, informational, and economic barriers, each of which is specified in smaller ones. The need to take into account international experience in this area, as well as to intensify investment processes, is noted.
