Aqueous extracts sedative activity of some representatives of the genus Melampyrum L

Studied sedative activity of extracts of small and common cow wheat Orobanchaceae family. The experiment was made in the “open field” test. It has been established that under influence of cow wheat extracts there is an oppression of approximate and research behavior of animals that speaks about existence of sedative activity. Effect of extracts is similar to effect of extract of a valerian.
