The sequential bypass grafting technique is an alternative method of direct myocardial revascularization in which the blood flow in two or more coronary arteries can be restored with one conduit by sidetoside anastomosis. The aim of this article is to review the available literature about sequential bypass grafting in coronary artery surgery and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of this surgical technique.
