Improvement of technical means for cleaning of oil crops seeds is an urgent task, the solution of which is necessary to obtain high-quality seeds and preserve its genetic purity. To implement the task, we developed the original design of a small-sized seed cleaning machine, the optimal design and technological parameters of which were found empirically using a special testing bench. The uniqueness of this bench is the ability to change its settings in a wide range, unattainable for any of the existing grain cleaning machines. According to the results of the researches carried out at the testing bench, the technological scheme of the designed machine is justified, the optimal parameters of the sieve, the aspiration system are found and a model sample of a small-sized selection separator is made. The developed device is characterized by easy maintenance, easy access to hidden cavities, a wide range of settings, low cost, high maintainability. Processing technology of seed bulk on the basis of the developed design provides the required standards of purity of oil seeds. Long-term experience of operation of the machine proved its high reliability and adaptability to the breeding process
