Breeding assessment of the 18th Kazakhstan-Siberian nursery varieties in the conditions of the south forest-steppe of Omsk region

The article provides the results of evaluation of economically valuable traits of spring soft wheat varieties from Kazakhstan-Russian network (KASIB-18 nursery) in the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia on the experimental field of Omsk state agrarian university in 2017-2018. Among 51 varieties from 18 research institutions of Russia and Kazakhstan there were selected samples as a parent material for breeding to increase the yield, grain quality, disease resistance, etc. By the means of Bi-plot analysis, it was established that the main component that ensures the productivity of varieties in the region is the productivity of the main ear, late-ripening varieties are more productive and better in the quality of grain with increasing resistance to disease. Cluster analysis allowed to identify four groups of varieties that reliably differed from one another in some economically valuable traits.
