A rural family of the southern zone of Yakutia in the modern conditions

The article deals with the features of rural family adaptation in the southern zone of Yakutia in the context of the current socioeconomic situation. It has been found that the traditional views on the family relations predominate in the rural families (the high importance of a complete family, a man is a head of most households, focus on having many children). The low level of mate-rial well-being of rural families is explained by the slow rate of agriculture development due to the number of constraints (reduction of pasture and hayfields areas because of the mining operations, and others).
