Semantic character of term based on the term system of oil industry

The results of the analysis of the semantic relations in the term vocabulary of the oil industry of the English and Russian languages show that the semantic relations in the context of the studied term system are well developed. There was found out the presence of the phenomena of synonymy, antonymy, polysemy, paronymy and homonymy (there weren’t revealed the cases of homonymy in the term vocabulary of the Russian language). The most developed semantic relations in both languages are synonymic and antonymic.
