Semantic reconstruction of the nouns with meaning ‘result of human intellectual activity’ (on the Belarusian language data)

The article is devoted to the problems of the origin, semantic development and motivation of the nouns with the meaning ‘result of intellectual activity’ in the Belarusian language. The study is based on the analysis of etymological and historic dictionaries of the Slavic languages. The issues of word-building and semantic derivation are regarded. The authors deduct the origins of the nouns under investigation, their place in the intellectual stratum of the Belarusian language, motivation means of the words with common Slavonic origin and the regularities of the development of “intelligent” meanings of the lexemes with the common semantics “result of intellectual activity”.
