Semantic similarities of adjectives with new/young and old meanings in the Finno-Ugric and Turkic languages

Comparative studying of adjectives-antonyms with the meaning ‘young-new' and ‘old' in the Finno-Ugric and some Turkic languages is made. Four types of lexical-semantic correlations of words-antonyms are singled out. Common features in the characteristic of the animated and inanimate realities by adjectives with the meaning ‘old' in the east Finno-Ugric and Turkic languages specify either a former community of the origin of languages, or ancient contacts between pra-languages.
