The semantics of shaman's clothing of Old Barguts of China

The article analyzes the possible sources of the origin and symbolism of the shaman’s clothing components of the old Barguts. The author comes to the conclusion that the contacts with foreign ethnic cultures and mythopoetical beliefs going back to the cult of the Mother-progenitress and her symbolic equivalents affected the formation of the components of the ritual attire of the old Barguts.
