The research investigates the ruling Law and Justice party’s policy towards family issues in Poland. Polish conservatives have declared government support for families as their key priority. This support is aimed to prevent a demographic crisis in the country and to reduce poverty especially among children. The main measures of the policy are intended to increase families’ income and to improve their welfare. Polish conservatives consider direct government allowances to families as an investment in the human capital as a national most valuable asset. Law and Justice party also pays attention towards public amenities for children that will allow parents to combine their job and family responsibilities. Generally, Law and Justice party wants to maintain the institution of family and marriage. Polish conservatives believe that the policy towards family issues should create an optimistic atmosphere and strengthen conservative values within the nation.
