Family values as a socialization factor of a teenager

The article reveals the relevance of the problem of forming family values. In Kazakhstan, as in other countries, the formation of family values is an important task for society. Teenagers are one of the most vulnerable groups of the population who may encounter problems in the family. There is a crisis of family values in modern society, so their formation in adolescence is especially important. Key concepts are highlighted: “value”, “family values”, “socialization”, “civil socialization”. The opinion of scientists on the problem under study is considered. Factors influencing the value relations of adolescents have been identified. Among the family’s tasks are caring for the child’s health, economic support, and spiritual and moral education. Particular attention is paid to the role of the family as the most important institution for the socialization of a teenager (to cultivate independence in the child; develop intellectual activity, protect from the negative influence of the environment, the media, etc.). At the same time, trends in the digital environment are noted, which can negatively influence the process of formation of family values. Methodological approaches (value and activity-based), research methods are identified: analysis, synthesis, generalization, comparison, experiment, etc. The main goal of this study is to identify and test the pedagogical conditions for the formation of family values in adolescents (organization of joint leisure activities with parents; implementation methodological support of the process under study; the use of active and interactive methods, information and communication technologies). Conclusions have been formulated about the effectiveness of the implemented program “Otbasy oshagynda”, which promotes the formation of family values, education of the future family man, and focuses on the harmonization of relationships between children and parents. Criteria-diagnostic tools made it possible to update family values, identify the value orientations of adolescents, and formulate conclusions and prospects for further educational work on the formation of family values. The role and possibilities of the family in the formation of family values are revealed. The results indicate that formed family values influence the socialization of adolescents.
