In Kyrgyz society, the family serves as the primary and most important environment for upbringing. It is within the family that an individual acquires their initial personal qualities, forms the foundations of their worldview, and develops an attitude toward customs and traditions. The traditions observed by the Kyrgyz people represent one of the most effective forms of social adaptation. Each custom: defines the individual's role in society; facilitates their integration into the social environment; maintains harmony between society and the individual; and shapes moral and ethical standards of behavior. The preservation of these traditions and their transmission to future generations is primarily entrusted to the family. In this article, we examine the extent to which the customs of the Kyrgyz people are preserved within the family environment and explore their role in the upbringing of children.
