Semiotics of the fashion costumes: to the question about the representativeness of historical sources

In the article the features of historical sources bases of fashion costumes between XIX -XX centuries by methods of semiotics research were analyzed. These methods are based on the approach to the object, phenomenon or process as to the text, the reading of which requires its decomposition into separate "phrases" that allows you to penetrate deeper, not discernible to the naked eye.
