A family expecting a child: latent critical period

The paper studies the marital relationship during the period of expecting a child. The study was conducted on the basis of the municipal women''s clinic. It’s revealed that the most problems regarding the salvage a marriage itself as well as its harmony are faced by the couples living together during 4-9 years, when the continuous focus of husbands on the patriarchal authoritarian relations in the family are not supported, as well as women’s aspirations for joint activities and “love as friendship”, because the men continue to expect romantic sexual relations only.
