Service practice: c/ s and CALS technology

Service practice as an informational framework within the client-server architecture represents the service procedure as the delivery of a resource to the client process. The authors discuss the related formalisms for three-component client-server architecture using the case study approach. Then, the article examines a case study - the structure of the information services for the life cycle of a product (CALS technology) and a number of models for client-server relations within the multi-layer structure. The set of CALS technologies is a complex service system of the information support for the product life cycle.
