The article demonstrates the results of estimating the respiration from the surface of alluvial meadow soils in the Selenga River Delta. The CO2 emissions were measured from 2015 to 2017 (May-September) using chamber method. It has been found that the dynamics of the soil CO2 emissions are influenced by several factors: season, organic matter content, and hydrothermal conditions. Soil hydrothermal conditions primarily determine the intensity and characteristics of the seasonal dynamics of the soil CO2 fluxes. The temperature of the upper soil layer played a determining role in the changes in the rate of CO2 release from the soil during the vegetation season. Moisture conditions do not play a significant role in the formation of the carbon dioxide flux.
