The scope of legal regulation: theory and practice

The article describes the sphere of legal regulation as a controversial concept of the theory of legal regulation. Analyzed opinions of various scholars on the question of the nature of the relations that constitute the field. An attempt is made to identify trends in the development of the sphere of legal regulation at the present stage of development of the Russian legal system.
