Higher education after pandemic of COVID-19: new reality, new opportunities

The article is written in the theoretical and methodological genre focuses on the clarification of particular transformations in the area of higher education under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, described in contemporary sociological literature. The paper is based on the outcomes of a literature review of scientific articles and monographs in relevant area that were published between 2020 and 2022 and indexed in scientific citation systems RSCI, Scopus, Web of Science. The authors’ analysis demonstrates that contemporary social science is not only perceives the impact of the pandemic as a stimulator of significant changes in the area of higher education, but also has a specific understanding of such changes. Analyzing current scientific sources, the authors come to the conclusion that one of the important consequences of the pandemic could be a change in the format of the functioning of educational institutions, providing them the opportunity for mor effective training of specialists with advanced level of creative competencies.
