Shalabolinskaya pisanitsa: some results of research in 2018

Shalabolinskaya is one of the biggest rock art sites in the Minusinsk Basin which includes engravings and carvings dated from the Neolithic to ethnographic modernity. During latest few years, the research of the site was quite intensive. It means not only rigourous documenting with different technics but stylistic and technological analyses. Wear-analysis of Salabolinskaya site petroglyphs were mostly concentrated on traces of pecking. During the field-work of 2018, our special focus was on palimpsests. We applied the method of wear-analysis, tridimensional visualization technics and 3D analytic tools. Palimpsests with determinable features of different pecked surfaces and with definable cross-zones were selected as samples.
