The studies carried out in extremely arid zone of the Stavropol territory in Agricultural Production Cooperative Collective-Stud Farm named after Lenin confirmed that uneven selection of parental pairs contributes to the increase of productive qualities of sheep breeds Soviet Merinos. The authors found that the largest mass of wool in physical fiber was in groups II, received from the selection of parents of different ages, 3.5-year-old sheep and 1.5-year-old rams, which exceeded the age groups I, III and IV by 5.3% (P0.05). The weight of wool in the washed fiber in Group II animals was larger compared to Groups I, III and IV - by 4.0% (P0.05) and 2.8% (P>0.05). With the selection of parents of different ages, the yield of washed wool, on average, in animals of groups II and III was 58.8%, which is higher in comparison with peers obtained with the selection of single-age parents by 0.2 abs. %. The finest wool of the 70th quality was found in animals I and III groups, which originated from the uterus of 1.5 years of age, and wool with 64th quality showed the II and IV groups of animals that were obtained from adult uterus of the 3.5-year-old age. The offspring of group III from the different age selection of their parents differed in the best condition of the fleecy wool, so in the sum of wool free from rubbish and little-clogged they amounted to 82.5%, which is 0.5% more than in groups I, II and IV; 2.5 and 3.5 abs. %, which in turn affected the yield of washed wool. Thus, different age selection of parents has a positive effect on the offspring woolen productivity.
