Tuberculosis is still one of the most common infectious diseases, which continues to claim the lives of millions of people. According to WHO experts, one third of the population is infected with M. tuberculosis, so in 2015, 10.4 million new cases of the disease were registered, and 1.4 million died from tuberculosis. The real threat is the steady growth of tuberculosis with drug-resistant pathogen. In 2015, 480 thousand new cases of Mycobacterium multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR MBT) were registered, of which 9.5% were patients with a wide spectrum of pathogen resistance. At the same time, the effectiveness of treatment of this contingent of patients causes special difficulties all over the world and does not exceed 52.0% for tuberculosis with MDR MBT and 28.0% for broad drug resistance of mycobacteria (XDR MBT).
