School handwritten journals and newspapers of the late XIX – early XX centuries as a factor of socialization

The problem of pupils’ socialization in the early XX century through the example of school handwritten journals is under investigation. The text is seen as a social act. The article demonstrates pupils’ awareness of problems typical for the discourse of intelligentsia, such as attitude to the nation and to the Government.
