The theatre activity is considered as a form of socio-cultural practice in the process of organizing leisure activities for children and adolescents in the conditions of general education institutions. The article pays special attention to school theatre, which covers not only the sphere of children’s free time, but also the sphere of the realization of their cognitive interests, as well as contributes to the introduction to the world of art and is an effective means of self-expression, self-realization, self-improvement of the child.
