Certain features of the political portrait of the new president of Korea Republic

On February 25, 2008, the inauguration ceremony was held for the winner of the December presidential election in Korea last year, Lee Myung-bak. The fact that the Republic of Korea is Russia's closest neighbor, and a country whose weight in the international arena is becoming more significant, and its experience in modernizing the economy1 and moving from a direct military dictatorship to a democratic society2 deserves attention, determines the interest in this event.
