This article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the symmetrical concepts of good and evil in the structure of units of the media lexicon as a tool to strengthen the axiological mode of interpretation of current sociopolitical events. It is proved that it is precisely the symmetrical concepts that create the bipolarity of media texts and variability of the interpretation of certain political events. The analysis of media texts leads to the conclusion that the value mode of the symmetrical category good / evil in media texts is not fixed, which leads to discussion of opinions, inability to decide whether this or that economic, social or political situation is evil or good. This particular axiological nature of the media environment changes the structural coordinates of the studied lexemes in the language system and transforms their semantics.
