Currently, the treatment of breast cancer is a complex and multifactorial task. Besides improving survival, it is necessary to socially adapt the person, to get rid of psycho-emotional trauma and discomfort. This is partly achieved by an increase in the number of performed organ conservation and reconstructive operations in patients with breast cancer. However, the degree of satisfaction with the quality of life of patients remains not high, since the vast majority of cases have a pronounced asymmetry of the newly created (or resected) breast relative to the healthy gland. Successfully performed surgical correction of asymmetry provides an increase in self esteem, gaining psychological comfort and, thereby, improving the quality of life.
